Luik sweater - 98/110 - light indigo

Luik - ‘a hatchway‘ in Dutch, is a chunky hand knit toddler sweater. The vest is hand knit from 100% Icelandic lopi wool in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. My knitter, Veronica, calles them also 'Ketelbinkies' because of their  sweet and stubborn nature.

The knit baby sweater works also as a jacket in the summer and it is an ideal alternative for a jacket, for example, in a baby carrier or a wrap due to the wools breathability and temperature regulating qualities. The soft vest has an easy spacious neck opening closed with 4 mirabelle wool buttons, handmade by my schoonvader Ton. The long sleeves ensure a longer fit.

Size: the size 92/110 fits a 3-4-year-old. The actual measurements are 42cm long and the bust is 74cm wide.

Care: Gentle handwash in 30 degrees. Use a gentle wool detergent, shape wet and dry flat. Air outside in between the washes.
